Bolinas Ridge Trail

Today we took a 12 mile hike with Kushi to test our backpacking equipment at Bolinas Ridge Trail, next to Pt Reyes.

The sign shows "Kushi allowed!"

Once unleashed, Kushi waits for us slow pokes...

The trail is approx 11 miles one way, but we turned around 6 miles down the trail so we could get back before dinner.

Lunch break

After about 8 miles, Kushi kept stopping under every tree shade. She was either hot or tired with her long fur coat.

Aaah, you go on ahead, I'll stay here in this nice shade.

Kushi got a "human taxi" ride the rest of the way.

Kushi found the sweet spot between the shoulders and a backpack... See ya suckers!

Afterwards, we ended up combing out several disgusting ticks from Kushi that she picked up along the hike. I guess 3 weeks after an application, Frontline Plus doesn't seem to do much to the ticks.
